Introduction to your Inner Self

There is someone you need to be introduced to. Someone influential. Someone who holds much authority in your life. He or she is universal in everyone, yet unique to everyone. At times, you may recognise this person surfacing in your life. Especially the most crucial moments, those momentous phases of transformation. Sometimes, during the most critical situations, or even when your life is in danger, he or she comes to help.

Okay, okay, enough with the mystical, Oracle-like mumbo jumbo already. The truth is, there is a unique part of your character, of your identity which is perfect in every way. It is your true nature. Your birthright. Your immaculate self. I can hear the cynics laughing already. Wait. Let me tug the string and let the sledge- hammer smash them. Done. I did that with a certain amount of satisfaction and pleasure.

He or she, like you, is human in every way, except for the fact that he or she is perfect. As I was saying, your “Inner Self” is perfect, yet human. In fact, he is more human than you. Think about it. You can either accept the cynical definition of ‘human’; or the Socratic-Platonic definition of ‘human’. It is a matter of choice, yet again. But I shan’t go further. If you want, you can go do your philosophical research, if you like, some other time.

Why bother getting to know this “highest & truest self” of yours at all, let alone getting into contact with, and ultimately become him? Because, being perfect, he knows everything you need to know to get to where you want to be. He knows the way. He knows all the directions, the steps, the things to do, the people to meet, in order for you to reach your goal.
